CLUB CONTACTS/REGISTRARS: Your club's "Team Counts, Coaches Names/Phone Numbers and Field Information" for the Spring 2010 season is due by Friday, Mar. 12, 2010. All three pieces of information is due at the same time. This information MUST be submitted using the latest version of the "NVYSL - Team Entry Form". The form can be found by using the shortcut link(s) above. Right click the link and select "Save Target As..." to save a local copy of the file.
ANY RESTRICTIONS TO FIELD AVAILABILITY OR SCHEDULED GAME TIMES MUST BE NOTED ON THIS FORM. Schedules are generated from this information therefore ONLY THOSE RESTRICTIONS INDICATED WILL BE POSSIBLE. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.
1.) If a coach is handling multiple teams, this should be noted so that every possible effort is made to avoid scheduling conflicts.
2.) Notation should be made on the TEF of potential team 'strength' disparities mainly due to the age of the players (in other words if it is a young team in an age bracket). If this is done, the league will make every EFFORT to schedule games between teams of like caliber.
INSTRUCTIONS:
STEP 1: Download and fill out the TEF. Then email your team entry form by clicking the link below and attaching the entry form to the email:

STEP 2: After the entry form is emailed, go to the website's Discussion Forum Online TEF section and leave a message indicating that your club's TEF is complete. In order to access this forum you must be logged on to the website. After logging in, you may access the Forum by clicking the link below and then pressing the "Add New Topic" button to enter your message.

The TEF is available in the Microsoft Excel format.
With Excel Viewer 2003, you can open, view, and print Excel workbooks, even if you don't have Excel installed. You can also copy data from Excel Viewer 2003 to another program. However, you cannot edit data, save a workbook, or create a new workbook. This download is a replacement for Excel Viewer 97 and all previous Excel Viewer versions. All NVYSL Coaches, League reps, and officers;
The NVYSL commissioners voted at a recent meeting to require coaches to distribute 'official' rosters as set forth in our rules. The accepted 'official' rosters are the ones generated from the EPYSA online registration system.
If these rosters are not exchanged prior to the start of each league game during a season we will proceed using the following progressive disciplinary actions.
1.) The first offense results in a notification to the representative of the offending coach's club;
2.) Second offense results in a fine which is equivalent to the full game fee being assessed to the offending coach's club;
3.) Third offense is a single game suspension for the offending coach;
4.) Fourth offense is a game cancellation! No game will be played and a forfeiture will be charged to the team of the offending coach (which will also result in an additional fine).
Obviously we had hoped that it would not get to this point but we have not achieved satisfactory results by just requesting that rosters be exchanged.
We will need all of your help to identifying some of the cases because without a coaches game report we will never know when this rule is being violated. If you have any questions, please contact your club representative(s) for additional information. |
